LUTKEHAUS, Richard Edward ''Lucky'' Age 76 of Hamilton, Ohio died Friday, February 10, 2006 at 7:53 PM in Vitas Hospice at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton on April 24, 1929, the son of Harry and Cora (Weisenborn) Lutkehaus. After graduating from Hamilton High School in 1947, he served in the United States Army from January 6, 1951 until December 21, 1953 and was a proud member of Amvets Post 1983. Known as "Lucky," Dick was employed as a Maintenance Scheduler at Champion Papers from June 19, 1947 until his retirement on May 1, 1994. During his 47 years of employment at Champion, Dick made countless numbers of friends and was well liked by everyone. He married Betty Jean (Hamblin) Lutkehaus in Hamilton on October 30, 1959. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Betty Jean; his sister, Ruth E. Case (Nichols); a daughter, Lisa Ruth Pratt and one infant son, Michael Edward Lutkehaus. He is survived by one sister, Gladys Conlin of Milford, two daughters, Robin (Michael) Conrad and Donna Waldron; one son, Gregory Lutkehaus; three grandsons, Craig Conrad, Kevin Conrad, and Kurtis Waldron; two granddaughters, Kati Waldron and Sara Waldron, and one great granddaughter, Rachael Elise Conrad. A memorial service for friends and family will be held at Kowalk Funeral Home on Friday at 1:00 PM, Rev. Charles Traylor of First Church of God, Princeton Pike will be officiating. Memorials and donations can be made to the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine.
