Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10 am on Friday, July 7, 2006 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church followed by inurnment at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery. Father Paulus Kao will officiate.
Rosario was born October 1, 1933 in Silver City to Alberto and Felicita (Borrego) Ortiz. She was a homemaker and enjoyed singing, reading, taking care of her home and health permitting going to church often.
Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her son, Robert O. Gonzales and wife Anna of El Paso, TX; daughter Mary Lou G. Salas and husband David of Silver City; grandchildren, Javin, Jacob, Robert and Rudy Gonzales, Anna Torres and husband Alex, and Vero and Carlos Blanco; great-grandchildren, Javin and Eliajah Gonzales and Jasmine and Alex Torres. She is also survived by her aunts, Rosa Aguilar and Chelo Garcia; uncle, Enrique Ortiz and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Gonzales and brother, Rudy Ortiz.
