He was born on June 8, 1953, in Billings, to John A. and June C. Flood. He grew up in Cody, attended school and graduated from Cody High School.
He joined the U. S. Army and later the Navy, where he met his wife, Estelita M. Campanero in the Philippines, and they were married on April 15, 1978. They moved to Lovell in 1979, where they raised their two sons.
He worked at several locations in the Park County area until landing a job at Georgia-Pacific as a heavy equipment operator, a job he loved for 20 years. In 1999, he retired due to Parkinson’s disease.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, and most of all, traveling on cruise ship trips with family and friends. He loved drawing with charcoal, colored pencils and oil painting.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, his uncle Sam, cousin Tom and his parents-in-law.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years; two sons, Lydell of Cody and Adrian of Lovell; his mother, June C; sister, DD; a nephew and nieces in Cody, his uncle Pat and an aunt in Thermopolis.
