Frank S. McFadden, Jr., 92, of Barnett, Missouri, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, died on July 8, 2016. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on September 1, 1923 to Frank and Della McFadden. He was a World War II veteran serving from 1941 until 1945. He received the Purple Heart, Phillipine Liberation Ribbon with one bronze star, and Good Conduct Medal. After the war, he moved his family to Kansas City and joined the VFW Post 2211 where he served in all the offices including Post Commander. After retiring from the Kansas City Star newspaper in 1988, he and his wife moved to Barnett, Missouri where he belonged to the Senior Citizens Club in Versailles, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 71 years, Grace (Cox) McFadden; son, Franklin F McFadden; three daughters: Della McFadden, Jacklin Mack and Lona West; five brothers: Roy McFadden, Raymond McFadden, Abner McFadden, Thomas Arnold Good, and Richard McFadden; nine sisters: Donna Baker, Irene Duncan, Vivian Monning, Alice Pinegar, Ellen Green, Valda Folsom, Charlotte McFadden, Aria Good, and Alberta Hall. He is survived by six children, twenty-nine grandchildren, eighty-four great-grandchildren, seventy seven great-great-grandchildren, brother, and sister. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. July 14, 2016 at D.W. Newcomers White Chapel, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri. Interment immediately following.
