She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Brenda Bowers.
She is survived by her parents, David Esch Jr of Cedar Hill, Missouri and Nicki (Andrew) Anderson of Dittmer, Missouri,

Melissa was a 2016 graduate of Grandview High School. She enjoyed fishing.
