Linnie and her siblings lost their mother in 1900 when very young, and were raised by their widower father, George Ireland Hellen, in Texas and Oklahoma. He never remarried.

Wife of Alfred Harry "Alf" Beck 1891-1964. Per family records they married on March 11, 1914, in Charlie, Clay County, Texas. Linnie was called "Nunna" by all her California grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Alf and Linnie moved from Texas to California sometime in the early 1940s, it appears, likely for Alf to take a job in the wartime defense industry. He appears to have worked at the Naval base and Air Station in Alameda where they also purchased a home. They, and all their family, remained in California the rest of their lives, Alf and Linnie in the same home purchased during the war years until their respective deaths. Some additional information on Linnie and Alf can be found on the memorial page of her father, George Ireland Hellen (link below).

Their offspring:
Harry Alfred Beck, 1914-1960
James Austin Beck, 1917-1986
Emma Gene Beck Amaral, 1926-2009
Dorothy June Beck Hammack, 1928-1991

Upon her death at age ninety-seven, she had survived her husband and all but one of her children. Her youngest daughter, Dorothy, had passed only three months earlier.

Links are noted below for the two Beck sons. Specific burial information is not now known for Emma and Dorothy except that both passed in California.
