Will Edwin was the son of Willie Pope & Gaynell (Currie) Elder. He was married to Helen Varie Aulds. He served in the military during WW II, enlisting on 9 Sep 1943 and was honorably discharged on 9 Mar 1946. He was a member of the 124th Cavalry Regt.-weapons troop for the U.S. Army - Headquarters 1st Co. Regt.Art. - Ft. Knox, KY T/4
