EDMOND OSCAR ALLEMAND grew up in the village of Evilard, Switzerland with two brothers and two sisters. On March 18, 1901, at the age of 19, he immigrated to the United States as a passenger on board L'Aquitaine.
Edmond was the first of the three brothers of Edouard and Adele Allemand of Evilard to immigrate to the United States. Edmonds other two brothers, Arnold Edward Allemand, Sr. and Armand Constant Allemand also came to America at the early ages of 19 and 24, respectfully. However, neither brother ever connected with Edmond in America.
The family story is that Edmond died (was killed) somewhere in the state of Washington in 1903. His brother Arnold E. Allemand, Sr. apparently came to the area in Washington State where Edmond was killed to try and learn what happened. Arnold was told he should leave and not ask questions unless he wanted the same fate as his bother. Arnold left. There is no other family information beyond that and search information does not produce any other information that can be found. His death remains a mystery.
