She was the widow of Herman P. Hale and a long time member of Cave Spring Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Jo Ann Hale, Charlottesville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy and Roy Griggs, Evington, Ellen Hale, Durham, N.C.; grandchildren, Kathy Hale, Falls Church, Teresa H. Edwards, Herndon and Julie Griggs, Roanoke; great-grandchildren, Marie an d Sallie Edwards, Herndon.
Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel 1:30 p.m. Monday with Pastor Rick Elmore and Dr. Woodrow W. Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2 until 6 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's South Chapel.
