Wilma Jean Lawrence, 85, of Huntsville, died Dec. 8, 2016, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Huntsville.
She was born May 31, 1931, at Hindsville, the daughter of Howard Andrew and Eva Helen Shepherd Hayes.
She had retired from the Dietary Department of Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab and was a member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church and the Madison County Genealogical and Historical Society.
She was the widow of Vashni Jackson "Jack" Lawrence, whom she married on April 6, 1958, and who preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1966.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Hayes.
Survivors include: one sister, Betty Easley of Huntsville; one nephew and niece-in-law, Perry and Debra Thompson of Garden City, Mo.; two great-nephews and great-nieces-in-law; one great-niece; two great-great-nephews; and three great-great-nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Moore officiating.
Interment will be in the Old Union Cemetery at Cincinnati, Ark., under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
