"Local relatives have received word of the death of Charles Anderson, 93, of Milpitas, CA. He passed away Dec. 9, 1985. Services were held Dec. 13 with burial at Oakmont Memorial Park. The family moved from Iowa to California in the 1940s.
He is survived by his wife Gladys; four children:

Charles grew up in Greene County, Iowa near numerous family members as two of his mother's sisters (Emma Hansen and Nellie Rapp) and Charles' first cousins also lived in Greene County.
Charles was the second of ten children born to Samuel C. and Mary (Jenkins) Anderson: Sadie, Charles, Mabel, Roy, Louis, Nellie, Bertha, Wilbur, Bernice and Lester (who died in infancy).
Charles served in the US Army from Feb. 15, 1918 to May 29, 1919. He was described as short with a medium build, gray eyes and light brown hair.
He married Gladys Fiscus on January 24, 1920 in Polk County, Iowa. They had four children: Merle, Alma, Joe and Marilyn.
