Clair MacRae, 82, of Hallstead, PA entered into rest on August 16, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. At his request there will be no public visiting hours.

Clair is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Beverly; two daughters, Valerie MacRAE and Beth and Michael Gurgul; beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Sara Mayes, Tim and Sara Mayes, Alison Mayes, Collin Gurgul, and Carissa Gurgul; four great grandchildren, Savannah, Macy, Madison, and Dylan; two sisters, Marian House and Joann Perry; several nieces and nephews; and close friend, Kirk Hinkley and the Hinkley family.

Clair served with the US Army in Japan. He retired from IBM in 1992. Clair enjoyed playing and teaching his grandchildren how to golf, fish, and hunt. He would encourage his grandchildren's sports and help them practice. Clair had a strong work ethic, was detail oriented, and very well organized. He was the highly respected patriarch of our family and his presence will be deeply missed.
