HICKORY Clarence William Lewis Jr., 76 of Hickory passed away at VA Medical Center in Asheville on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
Born in Haywood County on January 8, 1942, he was the son of the late Clarence William Lewis Sr. and Ethel Earley Lewis.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother Norman Lewis and a sister Alice Holsonbake.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Byrd Lewis of the home; daughters Pamela Reed and husband Douglas of Conover, Kimberly Massagee of Hickory and Teresa Huffman and husband Jeff Shook of Conover; grandchildren Shelbie Huffman, Cody Huffman, Samantha Reed, Jordan Massagee and wife Brittany, and Baylie Massagee; great granddaughter Adalynn Massagee and a sister Fredia Finley and husband Clarence of Texas.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm at Hickory Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Nicholas King officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
