Funeral services for Mrs. William Sweet of Barronett were held on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 2 o'clock in Cumberland at the Jacobson funeral home, with Rev. Gjerde officiating.
Harriet Kingsland was born in Excelsior, Wisconsin Feb. 24, 1856. She was married to Wm. Sweet on Nov. 26, 1874, and lived in Excelsior until 1910 when she moved to Barronett, Wisconsin with her husband and children.
Mr. Sweet passed away April 19, 1930. Since that time Mrs. Sweet has been in failing health and unable to take any active part in community affairs.
She is survived by five children, Austin, Charles, Hulda, Mrs. Henry Loverude, and Florence O'Brien. Also eight grandchildren.
Florence O'Brien and her son have been with her for the past eight years and her daughter, Hulda Sweet, came up from Chicago to help care for her during her final illness.
Death came to her peacefully on Feb. 2, 1938.
