BRANDENBURG, MR. PAUL HUBERT, age 81, of Jemison, passed away July 10, 2004, after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be at Rockco's Funeral Home in Montevallo on Monday, July 12, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera on Tuesday, July 13, at 11:00.

He was born on January 30, 1923, to Will Dee and Judson A. Brandenburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Alvin. He is survived by three brothers, Homer, Kenneth (Billie Sue) and Howard (Thelma) Brandenburg. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Faye; daughters, Brenda (Gary) Smith, Jan Brandenburg, Kathy (Michael) Burkett, Lisa (Michael) Story and Beth (Richard) Florence; sons, Bill (Terri) Connor and Lynn Connor. Grandsons include Scott (Jennifer) Harris, Todd Harris, Jeremy Greer, Cory Greer, and granddaughters, Casey Greer, Karen Florence, Emily Florence, Shannon Connor and Regan Connor; and great grandsons, Colby and Brody Harris. He will be missed by a host of nieces and nephews and his special friend, Bid Ellison.

He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II. He retired from the Alabama Army National Guard in 1983 and from the Birmingham Water Works. Paul lived his life as God instructed, "To act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with God."
