Judy Teeter, 80, of Malden, Mo., passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, in Bernie. She was born Oct. 19, 1938, in Steele to Odie B. Vied and Birdie Bushart Vied Bledsoe. She was united in marriage to Gerald Teeter on Nov. 21, 1953, in Hernando, Miss. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She had worked at Tri-County Day Care for 10 years and had also been employed with Bucks Home Care as a homemaker.
Mrs. Teeter was preceded death by her parents, Odie B. Vied and Birdie Bushart Bledsoe; one son, Gerald Roy Teeter Jr., and one brother, P.C. Vied.
Survivors of Mrs. Teeter include her husband of 65 years, Gerald Teeter of Malden; daughters, Cynthia Kay Parkinson of West Lafayette, Ind., and Judy Gaye Hill and Tim of Bourbonnais, Ill.; son, Tony Teeter and Janet of Lancaster, SC.; two sisters, Maybelle Green and Steele and Rita Stanley of Mason, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Rita Hall of Sherwood, Ark.; six grandchildren, Jeremy McKee, Karen Lemmon, Heath Parkinson, Melissa Teeter, Chris Teeter and Eli Heinrich; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Teeter were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Richardson officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5. Pallbearers were Jeremy McKee, Heath Parkinson, Chris Teeter, David Lawrence, Deven McMillen and Damon Cornett.
Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
