Edw. A. Veith Of Ripley Dies, Funeral Sunday

MT. STERLING - Edward A. Veith, 89 year old retired farmer of Ripley, died at 6:15 p.m. Friday at the Whited Nursing Home here. He was a lifetime county resident and lived at Ripley the past 23 years.

Mr. Veith was born in Brown county and attended rural schools and the New Salem Christian church.

He was married Sept. 23, 1903 to Kate McCaskill and she preceded him in death a number of years ago. One son, Leonard of Benton Harbor, Michigan, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren, survive. Mr. Veith was preceded in death by one daughter, four sons, four brothers and one sister.

The remains were taken to the Hufnagel Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon at the funeral home with Rev. Hershel Reed officiating. Interment will be in Bell cemetery.
