Singer. She a New Zealand singer whose song "Blue Smoke," which was the first record wholly produced in New Zealand from composition to pressing in February, 1949, won a triple platinum award. She also won a single platinum award for "Let's talk it over." On the 70th anniversary of the release of "Blue Smoke" she, along with Ruru Karaitiana and Jim Carter, was inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame.
