MRS. BLANTON PASSES AWAY.
The home of J. L. Blanton, south of town four miles, was visited last Sunday morning by the death angel, taking from them the wife and mother at 6 a. m. Sunday.
Mrs. M. E. Blanton was the mother of four children, all at home. She leaves her husband, children, three brother and one sister, with many friends to mourn her loss.
Mrs. Blanton was a faithful member of the Missionary Baptist church for 36 years, being converted and joining at the age of 13 years.
Her life was as calm as the deep blue sea and as quiet as she walked life's highway. The duties of life she met with a will will the closing of life's bright day.
Interment was made at the Hackberry cemetery. Funeral services were held at the home at 11 a. m. Monday. Rev. H. L. Hawkins officiating. A large concourse of friends followed her remains to their last resting place till the sounding of the trumper when on earth where ---- will rest the dead who followed their Lord shall come forth in all the glory and splendor of Him Who doesth all things well.
A. FRIEND
The following children survive: Lanford, aged 20; John, aged 18; Ada, aged 16; and Tommie, aged 13. Had Mrs. Blanton lived unitl the ninth of the coming November she would have been 49 years of age.
She had been sick for nearly a ear past, about a month ago losing the use of her left arm. She and family have lived in this community about two years, coming here from near Hollis. They lived in Texas previous to coming to Oklahoma.
O. C. Dennis, a brother, of Hollis, was here before she passed away. With him were his daughter, Ethel, and son, Mark, and wife. These returned to Hollis Tuesday.

Card of Thanks.
We wish to express to the physicians our gratitude for their faithful service, our gratitude for their faithful service, and also our thanks to our many friends who were so sympathetic and attentive to our needs during sorrow.
