Obituary - Lynbrook, May 14 - Albert Johnson, 83, died yesterday at his home, 30 Lincoln Place, following an illness of two weeks of pleurisy. The aged man was one of the most widely known residents of the village. When he was a young man he became a sailor on the schooner Amelia, which plied between Rockaway and Albany. When the village of Lynbrook was incorporated in 1911 "Tim" Johnson, became one of its first employees. He was assigned to the street department. He is survived by his wife, Martha Southard; three daughters, Sadie Abrams, Mrs. Walter Carman, and Gladys Mulrooney, and two sons, Charles and Mortimer. Funeral services will be held at the Forbell Funeral Home, Lincoln Ave., Rockville Centre, at two o'clock Thursday. Burial will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery, Hicksville.
