OCEANSIDE — George D. Shultz, 92, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, in Oceanside.

Born Oct. 18, 1907, in Brookings, S.D., he lived in Oceanside for 47 years. He was a physician before retiring. He was a member of Carlsbad Community Church and Oceanside Elks Club.

Dr. Shultz was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Hazel Shultz on March 21; and his daughter, Mary Krysteen Shultz, in 1982. He is survived by his son, R. Bryan Shultz of Oceanside; and brother Edgar Shultz of Mount Shasta.

Visitation will beheld from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Oct. 20, at Oceanside Mortuary. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, with the Rev. A. Barry Jones of Carlsbad Community Church officiating.

The family suggests memorial donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 3914 Murphy Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92108.

Oceanside Mortuary is handling arrangements.
