Wayne Anthony Erickson, 35, died on July 10, 2006, at his residence in Arlington, Texas.
Wayne's memory may be honored with a contribution to the American Cancer Society.
Wayne was born at Richards-Gebaur AFB in Kansas City, Missouri on December 14, 1970. (Fun fact ... his birthday was 11 days before Christmas and his sister's was 11 days after Christmas - WJEE). He graduated in 1989 from James Martin HS in Arlington, Texas, and attended the University of Texas at Arlington from 1990-1991. He was a genius, and he always sought ways to challenge his mind. College bored him, because it all came so easy to him. Growing up as a young adult, he thrived when playing role-play games, like Dungeons & Dragons, and Magic: The Gathering. He was fascinated with music, more-so with breaking down and understanding the components and sounds that made up the song. Computers didn't much challenge him, and he was hugely instrumental working for Tele-trac to decipher their program flaws and correct them.
My brother was very shy and reserved, to a fault. He didn't allow many to enter his tiny circle. Many who met him were usually offended at first, because Wayne trusted no one. He had to spend time with you on his terms, and if chemistry flowed, he would let you in, very slowly. Many never made it. He adored his Mom, and Wayne suffered tremendously with her loss in 2000. While he kept in touch with a few of his closer friends, each day, he would slowly pull away into isolation. I know he very much wished to be with his Mom. And I miss him.
