Wakefield -- Mrs. Anna W. Rytkonen, 94, 200 Pierce, Wakefield, died this morning at a local nursing home.
Born Jan. 16, 1888, at Kiuruvesi, Finland, the former Anna Huttunen came to the United States and Negaunee with her parents in 1899. In 1904 she married Peter J. Rytkonen at Negaunee. They moved to Iron River, Wis., in 1912, and later to Wakefield where Mrs. Rytkonen resided about 70 years. She was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church, Wakefield, and its Mary Circle.
Her husband died in 1933, a son, William in 1956,and a daughter, Fannie, in 1975.
Surviving are one son, Wilfred, Bedford, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Ruth) Richey, Alpena; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will take place at All Saints Lutheran Church Wednesday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Roy N. Gustafson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
There will be visitation Tuesday after 5 p.m. at Lakeside Memorial Chapel, Wakefield, and at the church Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to service time.
