Joe Bische joined FAG around 2008 (47014729) and contributed 118 memorials before his death. He was a lifetime friend of mine. I first met Joe on the playground at St. Joseph's School, Bradenton, Florida around 1959. He was swinging very high on the swings singing from the top of his lungs: "I'm Popeye the Sailor Man . . ." I'll miss him.
During high school Joe climbed a tree and fell. As a consequence, he was paralyzed from the neck down. He was able to use to a limited extent his arms. As a consequence, for the next 40+ years he was limited in his physical abilities and had to rely upon his family to assist him. Despite this severe physical limitation in his life Joe had a remarkable positive attitude and friendly disposition.
Joe was an avid reader of science fiction and loved to roam the airwaves on his ham radio. He also loved to travel around the country with his family in an RV to many auto and engine swaps and other mechanical conventions and meetings. All the photos uploaded in his memorial were photos Joe shared with me through the years. Finally, Joe was in search of his ancestry and enjoyed genealogy.
