Mrs. Eleanor Tudor Dies Week After Mate
Mrs. Eleanor Evans Tudor, 56, Sibley Ave., Detroit, Michigan, a former resident of this city, dies this morning after an illness in Detroit, one week after her husband, Ira, passed away.
Mrs. Tudor was born in this city, daughter of the late John B. and Elizabeth Evans, and moved to Detroit fifteen years ago. She was a member of Trinity Congregational Church, this city.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. C.S. Bennett, Glenburn, and Mrs. David James, this city; three brothers, John J., and William B. Evans, this city, and Wellington J., Bronx, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be from the Jones Funeral Home, 228 South Main Ave., Friday at 11 am. The Rev. Carlton A. Whitlatch, Trinity Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial, Abington Hills Cemetery, Chinchilla. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7pm Thursday.

Miss Eleanor Evans, 1615 Washburn St., daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John B. Evans, was married to Ira Tudor, Detroit, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tudor, West Scranton, Saturday, at 4pm in the home of Mr. and Mrs. David James, 1613 Washburn St. The Rev. H.L. Goughnour, Tabernacle Congregational Church, performed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. James were the attendants.
The former Miss Evans was employed in the accounting department of the Lackawanna Railroad. Mr. Tudor, who has resided in Michigan for the past 25 years, is employed by G. B. Scott Electrical Company, Detroit. They left to reside in Detroit.
