Harold, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Colonel Shear, died last Thursday night from scarlet fever, after an illness of six days. The child was buried at Mt. Vernon cemetery on Friday. The funeral was conducted by Rev. F. A. Slyfield and attended by a half dozen friends. A public funeral could not be held, owing to the family being under quarantine. Mr. and Mrs. Shear have the sympathy of the community in the death of their baby.
