Mr Sprague served as a trainman on the Long Island Railroad for 25 years. In 1921 he came to Atco.
In 1935 he retired and moved to Honesdale, where he became a member of St. John's Evangelicial Lutheran Church.
Besides his wife, the former Louise C Hocker, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs Dorothy N Kraus of Kingston, NY; a brother Reynold Sprague of Middletown NY; two sisters - Mrs Frances Cummings of Matamoras, PA and Mrs Ethel Irwin of Middletown, NY.
