Alexandria, Nov. 13 - Leo Anthony Turregano, a postmaster from 1925 to 1934, died at 7 p.m. Friday in St. Lukes Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio. He was 77.
Turregano was the son of the late Paul Turregano and Louise Labon Turregano. Born in New Orleans, he came to Alexandria in 1899 and was employed by the Post Office for more than 30 years.
He became assistant postmaster in Alexandria and later postmaster, a position he held for none years.
Turregano was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Alexandria Council 1134.
Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Pompt Succor Catholic Church with burial in Rapides Cemetery under the direction of John Kramer and Sons. Time of services has not been set.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. E. E. R. Cappelini, Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, J.P. Turregano, Alexandria, and two grandchildren.
