Born in Pomquet, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Mattie-Landry and Marie Bernadette Landry.
Ellen worked in the housekeeping department at Bethany Motherhouse and also Silver's Dry Cleaning in Antigonish. She was a good friend to many and will be greatly missed .
She is survived by her husband, Patrick; siblings: Leo, Pomquet; Rose (Frank) Gosbee, Pomquet Point; Rita (Bob) MacMillan, New Glasgow; Jospeh (Loretta), Stellarton; Sylvester (Rose), Taylor's Road; John (Margie), Pomquet; Barbara (Anthony) Rovers, Taylor's Road and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a sister, Barbara in infancy.
