Born January 16, 1960, in High Point, David was the son of the late Guy Virgus Hamilton and Lois Ray Hicks Hamilton. He was of the Baptist faith and owned and operated his own home painting business. David loved music, especially Van Halen, and to travel to Las Vegas and other places. He enjoyed the outdoors and working with his hands, and he will be known as a man with a big heart who enjoyed serving others.
David is survived by his wife, Drema Luther Hamilton, of the home; his mother, Lois Hamilton, of Thomasville; daughters, Becky Davidson and husband, Charlie, of Pittsburg, PA, and Beth Ramsue and husband, Patrick, of Salisbury; two sisters, Karen Hamilton, of Thomasville and Deanna Hamilton, of Durham; four grandchildren, Trinity and Evan Davidson, and Aidyn and Wyatt Ramsue; and his brother-in-law, Tony Luther and wife, Gudran, of Berlin, Germany.
Funeral will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2021, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point, officiated by Rev. Ray Luther. The family will receive friends Tuesday night, May 11th, from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
