Gloria passed away peacefully at home November 25, 2007 at the age of 81. Born April 27, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alfred and Gertrude Clausen. Married Edward Harvey Stockslager June 16, 1948 in Salt Lake City. She graduated from South High School and the University of Utah; member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She worked at Mountain Bell for 28 years.
Preceded in death by parents, brother Fred Clausen, sister Gertrude Howard, and husband Edward.
Survived by son Edward N., daughter-in-law Paula, daughter Gayle A., and three grandchildren, Alaina, Nicole and Christopher.
The world has lost one of its brightest stars. Gloria loved entertaining and being with her many friends. Her beaming personality and smiling face could brighten anyone's day. She never complained and always saw the best in everyone. She will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives she touched.
Services will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal church, 261 S. 900 East, Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association. Special thanks to Judith, Marianne, Cheryl, and Rocky Mountain Hospice.
