Virginia L. Nix August 27, 1937 - March 29, 2023
Virginia L. Nix, 85, of Mishawaka, Indiana, formerly of Johnston City, Illinois, passed away at 11:41 p.m., March 29, 2023, at her daughter's home. Virginia was born on August 27, 1937, in West Frankfort to Charles and Mary (Langan) Cagle. She was united to in marriage to Charles Edward Nix on April 5, 2000. They shared almost 20 years of marriage together before he passed away on March 25, 2020. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Robin (Wallace) Anderson of Mishawaka, IN and April Peterson of Imlay City, MI; stepson, Joseph Nix of Alabama; daughter-in-law, Barbara Peterson of Herrin; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband; two sons, Allan and Rick Peterson. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 3, 2023, at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with Pastor Bobby Parker officiating.
