Nikki graduated from Conway High School, University of Central Arkansas and St. Vincent School of Radiologic Technology, before marrying Steve in 1995. She went on to train and work at St. Vincent Infirmary in ultrasound, eventually working at Conway Regional, Conway Heart Clinic and ultimately retiring from Arkansas Cardiology Clinic. She had a God-given talent for touching each of her patients with genuine kindness. Her knack for organizing get-togethers for family and friends spilled over into the workplace. Nikki sincerely loved helping with office birthday celebrations, holiday festivities and even coordinating uniform colors. She cherished each of the friendships established with her bosses and coworkers.
Nikki and Steve enjoyed boating, camping and off-road side-by-side riding together. These hobbies were a perfect fit for her live-life-to-the-fullest nature. By the hours spent in their company, it was clearly evident Nikki loved her multitude of lake, deer camp and riding friends like family.
Nikki carried herself through her 51 years of life with an outgoing personality, joyful spirit and radiant smile. By God's grace she fought stage-4 cancer with courage, strength and a never-ending positive attitude. She was an inspiration to her immediate family, to her large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins and to all who knew her.
Nikki's celebration of life with be held Monday, June 19, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway, Arkansas. Rosary will begin at 1:00 pm followed by visitation at 1:30 pm and funeral at 3:00 pm. Private family burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Officiating the services will be Father Charles Thessing and serving as pallbearers will be Carter Thessing, Griffin Thessing, Spencer Sutterfield, Braxton Thessing, Lyric Berry, Josh Freyaldenhoven and Nick Freyaldenhoven. Honorary pallbearers are Luke Thessing and Lukas Pate.
In remembrance of Nikki's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to St. Joseph's Church or School Endowment, Catholic Campus Ministry, or Life Choices.
