The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Bethel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lynn Cash officiating. Burial will follow in Gilmore Memorial Park.
Mr. Mabe was a native of Stokes County, was retired from Sam W. Smith Construction and attended Bethel United Methodist Church. He was a Marine Corps veteran.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Pauline Craven Mabe of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Dezra Mabe Fields and Barry Fields of Greensboro; sisters, Marie Suits of High Point, Mattie Fleming of Liberty and Miss Treva Mabe of Greensboro; brother, William Vance Mabe of Binghampton, N.Y.
