Belford Carver unearthing her headstone next to her father, Wesley, February 1993. Later had it restored to upright position, done by Phelps Young, ca. April 1993. She is believed to be the first wife of Robert William Carver (1820-1896) who is buried in Vernon Parish, LA. Mother of George Washington, who died during the Civil War; twins, Rebecca H. and Mary E., and James (Jesse) Anderson Carver, husband of Missouri Cooksey. (RWC was my g-g-grandfather. BEC)
