He was an accountant for A and M Market and also worked at J.J. Dean grocery market. A World War II Army veteran, he served in the European Theater and was wounded in action during an invasion. He was in the 5th Infantry. He received two Purple Hearts with oak leaf clusters, Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and a Silver Star.He was a member of the Eagles Club, VFW Post 315 and a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans, the VFW, St. John the Baptist Maronite Church, the Holy Name Society and in 1990 received a Silver Massabki Medal from the National Apostolate of Maronites. He loved his church, family, friends and sports.
Relatives: two daughters and a son-in-law, Cecelia Abraham of Atlanta, and Jonalyn and James Romeo of New Castle; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Gregory Abraham of Hillsborough, N.J., Thomas A. Jr. and Christine Abraham of Horsham, Pa., and Paul and Michelle Abraham of Alliance, Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Katherine Abraham of New Castle; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Anne Joseph, Theresa Moses, Rose and Edward Mitchell, and Lucille Abraham, all of New Castle; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jenny Elias; a brother, John Abraham; a sister-in-law, Betty Abraham; and an infant son, Patrick Abraham.
