Cecil Wright, 26 year old farmer, living near Ash, Missouri, died at a hospital in Moberly early Monday morning as a result of a wound received Saturday night.
At a dance at his home, a fight started and Wright attempted to separate the combatants. He was taking a Moberly boy out of the yard when a shot was fired by an unidentified man and the bullet struck Wright in the back, piercing his lung. Another man, Gee Green of Moberly, had been wounded by a bullet during an earlier controversy.
Wright was taken to the hospital at once but died a few hours later from the effect of the bullet.
