Mrs. W.C. Mead died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Frank Sumnicht, at Poynette , Wis. Thursday Jan 17, 1929 , aged 72 years, 6 months and 23 days.

Ella Marguerite Lewis, daughter of Julia and Fred Lewis, was born at Delton, Wis, June 25, 1856, where she grew to womanhood. She was married to N.I. Cornwell, April 10, 1872. To this union seven children were born, five of whom are living: L.W. (Lewis W.) Cornwell of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs Adelbert Cure of Mauston, R.A. (Roy Alfred) Cornwell of LaCrosse , Mrs Frank Sumnicht of Poynette and J (John Newton) Cornwell of Chicago. Her husband passed away Sep. 14 1892 at Mauston, Wis.

On October 10, 1905 , she was married to W.C. Mead who is also left to mourn the loss of a faithful wife and a helping companion. Besides these , she is survived by a sister Mrs Frank Burhans, and a brother Fred Lewis of Campbell, Minn.
