Lt. Charles Baldwin Dyke Acland was the son of Sir Thomas Dyke Acland, 6th/10th Bt. and Lydia Elizabeth Hoare.
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.

Lt on HMS Scout which was an 18-gun sloop launched in 1832 and broken up in 1852.
