CALDWELL—Graveside services for William H. Best , 84, Caldwell Route 2, who died Tuesday at a Caldwell hospital. Services will be conducted at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens on Karcher Road at 3;30 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Joe Wiens of the First Baptist Church. Interment will be directed by Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. The cortege will leave the chapel at 3;15 p.m. Friday. Mr. Best was born on Aug. 23 1889, in Whitewood, S.C., and lived in Nebraska and Wyoming before moving to Idaho. He married Elsie M. Cloyd on Feb. 17, 1915, in Pine Bluffs, Wyo., They came to Idaho in January, 1929, and located in the Pleasant Ridge Community west of Caldwell. He was a member of Modern Woodsmen of the World Camp No. 5367 and Canyon County No. 877. Surviving are five daughters, Lena Stradlely, Teorge, Wash. , Wilma Lukkes, San Bernardino, Calif., Hazel Young and Lavina Clasen, both of Caldwell and Helen Harrold, Parma, a son, Orman Best, Priest River; two sister, May Palmer and Eva , Cheyenne, Wyo.; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren . He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, and a sister. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church.
