This photo was taken by Janet Clutter French in 1974 but was only recently found in the collection of Mercer County Cemetery photos donated to the library at her death. It was provided to me by Valerie Muether, Recording Secretary of the Mercer County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society for which I am immensely grateful.

The white stone is that of David Hays and then Polly's stone rolled over.

I had searched all over for Polly's stone. After finding David's, I rolled this stone over and found her. I believe this is her original stone. It appears to be limestone. I could not raise the white stone but now I believe it is her stone that appears in the other photo.
