Ruby Ruth Reel
Mrs. Ruby Ruth Reel, 71, of Marion, N.C., went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 8, 2009, while at the VA Medical Center, Asheville.
Born December 22, 1937, in Boone County, MO, she was a daughter of the late John F. Papen and Lunda F. Kerans Papen.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Clarence and Carl Papen and two sisters, Eva Tremaine and Mary Crane.
Mrs. Reel was an avid painter and truly enjoyed her family.
Her memory will be cherished by three children, Terry Padgett & wife, Alicia, of Marion, Toni Padgett Queen, of Bostic, NC and Tracy Reel & wife, Peggy, of Nebo;
A sister, Reba Meadows, of Columbia, MO
She will also be remembered by three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Reel will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home, Marion with the Reverend Kenneth Queen officiating.
Interment will follow at the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Kirksey Funeral Home, Marion.
