Mrs. Wittig was born January 8, 1924 in Sumner, d/o Jacob H. and Minnie M. Ledeker Brian. She married Jesse H. Wittig February 10, 1946 in Bondville. He survives along with a son, Alan of Urbana; two daughters: Carol Hawkins-Partlow and Renee Fruendt, both of Monticello; four grandchildren; two brothers: Loren Brian of Monticello; and Ray Brian of Champaign; five sisters: Wanda Fowler of Decatur; Anita Jones of Oconomowoc WI; Erma Jean Brian, Decatur; Roberta Miller, Clinton; and Lois Brian of DeLand. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Mrs. Wittig was retired from Kraft Inc. of Champaign and from Foster's Plaza in Monticello. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Monticello; and the Monticello Lioness Club. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Decatur Memorial Hospice Care.
