Aud Stewart, or "Pap" as he was known, was the first manager of the Co-op Cotton Gin and a cotton buyer. He also owned a sawmill at one time and a grist mill with his son G.F. Stewart. He sat on the school board at Macey for 30 years and is reported (by his daughter) to have been Mayor of Monette, although I don't have the years. He and Lizzie Lou Ware Stewart had 11 children only one of which survives today (July, 2009). He and Lizzie were married 20 December 1903.
