Mr. Dilworth was a First Lieutenant with the 21st Ohio Infantry during the Civil war. After night sentry duty, he was asleep in his tent when a shell exploded above his tent. A shell fragment hit him in the shoulder and he died within an hour. He gave his life for the preservation of the union.
