Mr. James "Jimmy" Ames Sr., 36, of Alma died Monday, May 22, 2006, in Van Buren. He was a grounds maintenance worker for Eagle Crest Golf Course in Alma and a member of the New Life Pentecostal Church in Alma.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 26 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his son, James "Scooter" Ames of Van Buren; his mother, Marie and her husband, Ron Bergenstock of Van Buren; his father, Jim and his wife, Stella Ames of Van Buren; six sisters, Patricia Ames of Van Buren, Pam
