Funeral services for Dr. Everett F. Mitchell Jr., 68, of Greenville, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at National Funeral Home Chapel in Greenville.
He died Saturday in his home. Born in Port Gibson, September 30, 1916, he has been a resident of Greenville for the past 27 years. He married the former Lillian Black in 1955.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, attended high school in Port Gibson and is a graduate of Indianapolis, Indiana, where he majored in naturopathy. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, VFW, Civil Air Patrol and the American Legion.
Dr. T. Russell Nunan will officiate. Burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Wintergreen Cemetery* in Greenville under the direction of National Funeral Home of Greenville.
The family will receive friends and relatives today from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
