MORRILL - Donna Faye Steiner, 80, passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
Her memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Morrill Methodist Church, with Pastor Richard Reisig officiating. Inurnment of her cremated remains will follow at the Mitchell Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Morrill Volunteer Fire Department or to the Morrill American Legion.
Donna was born March 1, 1929, in Lexington, Neb., in the family home, to Albert and Gracie (Mason) Robinson. She received her early education at Lexington Grade School. At the age of nine, the family moved to Mitchell where she attended Fairview 34 School. She married Arthur Steiner at North Platte on Nov. 24, 1945. Donna was proud to be a stay-at-home mom with her four children so that she would be there for them when they came home from school each day. She was an amazing mom and grandma to not only her own children and grandchildren but to many of their friends. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and trips to Deadwood, S.D. Donna worked for Barrett's Produce, Morrill School Cafeteria, The Gambles Store, and as hostess for Cindy's caf� in Morrill. In 1988, at age 59, Donna received her G.E.D. She was a member of the Morrill Methodist Church and the Morrill American Legion Club Auxiliary. She was a past leader of Boy Scout Troop #13
Survivors include her husband Art of Morrill; daughters, Cindy (Gary) Larson of Scottsbluff, and Sheila (Mike) Hort of Lyman; son, Arthur Jr., (Stephanie) of Morrill; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents, son Douglas Arthur Steiner in 1957, grandson Joey Cawthra in 2009, and two brothers and six sisters preceded her in death.
