M. Evone Humes, 79 of Culver, Indiana, died at 3:58AM on January 26, 2010 at her home.

Evone was born to Creed Rose and Margaret Stephenson on March 28, 1930 in West Virginia. She was married on November 5, 1949 at Bass Lake, Indiana to Donald Humes. He preceded her in death in April 1991.

She is survived by her daughter Shirley (Clifford) Slusher of Macy, Indiana, sister Pauline Hoover of Winamac, Indiana, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 daughter.

Visitation will be at the Odom Funeral Home, Culver, Indiana on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM EDT. Rev. Larry Saunders will officiate the service which will take place at 2:00PM on Friday, January 29, 2010 at Odom Funeral Home, Culver, Indiana. Interment will follow at the Culver Masonic Cemetery in Culver, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
