Born February 3, 1924 in Hilliard, Wyoming to Merle and Frances Bell Lester.

Married Beryl Dean Toone on June 24, 1950 in Mammoth, Utah. He worked for many years as a rancher. Worked for the Wyoming State Hospital. He loved to hunt and fish, he loved children and they loved him. Member LDS Church, where he held many positions.

Survived by wife; son, Thomas Lester; daughter, Debbie Padilla, all Evanston, Wyoming; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, La Mar Lester Hilliard, Wyoming; sisters, Hilma Martin and Jean Layton, both Salt Lake City; La Verne Martin, Hilliard, Wyoming; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, two sons, one daughter, and one brother.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 1990 in the Evanston Fourth Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior on Saturday.
Burial: Evanston City Cemetery.
